1. Tear/cut white cloth into a yard-long 2" strip. With red marker, mark off 2" red squares so that the strip will have alternating 2" red and white squares. 2. Eye Muscle Exercise Grids
The newest models are made from plexiglass squares which may be purchased from any hardware store. We put a 1/4" hole in the center and fed ribbon through a button in the center. The ribbon could move to any corner and attach with velcro at the corner. It is simple and has been working very well.

Safety Goggle Hemifield Blocking Glasses
The goggles are available from Edmund Scientific for about $5. Colored acetates may be cut and inserted into the lip on the front of the goggles. They fit over glasses.
Tinted Glasses
Purchase at optic stores for approx. $100 Lord and Taylor make designer lenses for approx. $30 These come in grades I - III Keep on hand blue, green, red tinted glasses
AUDITORY STIMULATION

Metronome
Large music stores sell these and range from $20 to $120 and up. The Matrix MR-500 may be used for rhythmic tapping sounds as well as flashing light timing exercises.
CALORIC STIMULATION
Hair Dryer Caloric Set-Up
Purchase a hair dryer with a cone end, not blunt. Get a plastic funnel at a hardware store and tape an otoscopic specula tip to the end of the funnel. The Vidal Sassoon hair dryer is quieter than most and has many options.
Home Use Caloric Equipment
Ear syringes are available from pharmacies.
Water Pik shower massagers may be used for home caloric stimulation.
OLFACTORY STIMULATION
Aromatic Oils
Available from spas, health food stores. One suggestion is to put a few drops on some cotton in a plastic pill container and give patients several different smells to alternate. Selections are individualized, but common ones are clove, peppermint, coffee, rose, cinnamon.
